About ACL
Airport Coordination Limited (ACL) is a world leading independent schedule coordination company and growing international aviation consultancy.
ACL was formed in 1992, and our business has grown steadily. We now serve airports in the UK, Ireland, UAE and Canada – from global hub airports with constrained capacity to smaller regional airports seeking to develop their networks.
ACL coordinates about 2.8 million flights carrying over 300 million passengers each year.
ACL has been at the forefront of slot trading in Europe for many years. Since 2001 we have facilitated about 200 Heathrow slot trades involving over 2300 weekly slots – equivalent to 25% of the total number of slots available.
Our Services
ACL offers complete solutions for airports to manage their schedule data and to coordinate airline demand within airport capacity. We provide three levels of service:
Level 1 – data collection, providing advance schedule notification (up to 5 months from start of season), and automatic feeds to airport operational databases.
Level 2 – facilitation, where peak period airport capacity issues are resolved through (voluntary) schedule adjustments by airlines.
Level 3 – slot coordination, where imbalances between airline demand and airport capacity are resolved through a mandatory process of slot allocation, enforced by a slot monitoring regime.
